Kylies October International Highlights - Thanks snow much

Whilst we are finally seeing more sunshine it has still been so cold here in Melbourne. So I  thought I would say a last farewell to winter with a snowflake themed card but with some spring colours.

I decided to use 2 of the new in colours which I would relate more to spring rather than Winter.

Watch me make it on Youtube HERE

What you will need:

Okay so first we are going to make our own designer series background paper.

So you will need:

* a layer of the basic white cardstock cut 14.4cm x 10cm or 5¼"x 4" - with this layer I stamped on various snowflake stamps from Snowflake Wishes set in Fresh Freesia, Soft Succulent and Gray Granite.

I stamped the image twice on the paper so I could get 1st generation stamping (darker shade) and then stamped the 2nd generation to get a lighter shade.

From the same stamp set, I stamped the sentiment "Thank you snow much" on a piece of white cardstock which I had cut out from a tasteful label die. Any shape here would work.

Next die cut out a scalloped rectangle largest die from the Stitched so sweet dies using the Fresh Freesia shimmer vellum. The glimmer on this paper is stunning!

I also die cut 3 of the snowflakes on some gray granite card stock. I did use some wink of stella on the snowflakes again, just to add some shimmer.

I did embellish the centre of each snowflake with Elegant Faceted Gem (white ones).

Time to assemble the card:

I cut out a piece of the Metallic Mesh Ribbon approx the width of your card (10cm or 4") and adhered this behind my sentiment piece.
I used dimensionals to layer this onto my Fresh Freesia vellum piece.
My snowflakes were adhered to the vellum piece using glue dots.

Once all the elements were adhered to the vellum piece, I then knew where I could place my tombow glue to the snowflake background piece.
