Stampin' Up ® Artistically Inked - Just add ink challenge 573

 Hi everyone!

Today's card is for the Just Add Ink challenge #573 which is a card layout challenge:

Watch my YouTube video HERE to see how I made this card.

What you will need:

- Basic White thick card base 29.7cm x 10.5 cm scored at 14.9cm or 11" x 4¼"  scored in half at 5½"

- Basic White layer same size as your card front 14.9cm x 10.5cm  or 5½" x  4¼" which I embossed with the Bark 3D embossing folder

Next I matted (is that a real word?) my Expressions in Ink Designer Series paper (DSP) onto a piece of gold foil cardstock.

- I used a square die that I already had to cut the DSP which was about 6.3cm x 6.3cm or 2½" x 2½"

- Piece of gold foil which to mat the DSP which gave a 2mm or 1/16" border. (approx 6.7cm x 6.7cm or 2 5/8" x 2 5/8")

I did use a "happy birthday" sentiment which I already had in my bag of sentiments. This one in particular is from the Turtle Friends stamp set which I gold embossed on black cardstock. Any skinny sentiment you have will work just fine.

I did adhere this onto using dimensionals to my embossed card front.

Next I used Open Wave Ribbon in Pale Papaya on the left had edge of my card front. I also layed a piece of gold thread (mine was from the Forever Greenery Product suite which has now retired) however there is gold thread in Simply Elegant Trim just to pull in some gold colour. I used Seal+ to adhere this.

I also added a bow made with the same gold thread and used a mini glue dot to adhere this to the top left hand corner.

Lastly I adhered this card front to the card base with some seal+.

Love how clean and elegant this card turned out.

I also made one using the subtle embossing folder if you want a softer look.

Don't worry, if you don't have ribbon you can also used a strip of DSP or coloured cardstock. Here is another card I made using the same layout. This one I kept very simple as I didnt do any embossing or dimensions and I also love our clean and simple this one turned out.
