Colour Inkspiration #106 using Penguin Place stamp set

For this card challenge, I kept in pretty simple. I cannot get enough of these penguins so it was the focal point for this card.

So for this challenge the colours are:

What you will need:

For my cardstock piece

- Basic White thick card base 21cm x 14.9cm scored at 10.5cm or 8½" x 5½" scored at 4"

- Night of Navy card layer 14.4cm x 10cm  or 5¼"x 4"

- Pool party layer 14.1cm x 9.7cm 5 1/8" x 3 7/8" which I did emboss using the Tasteful Textiles embossing folder

- 7cm (or 2 3/4") circle in basic white.

- Scrap piece of Night of Navy for the sentiment

- Penguin punched out from the Playful Penguins Designer series paper

First I stamped the balloon from the Playful Penguin stamp set in the Real Red. I then used memento black to stamp the balloon's ribbon.

I then attached the penguin using dimensional next to the stamped balloon image.

For my sentiment I used a scrap piece of the Night of Navy with the '"To a cool friend" sentiment from the same penguin stamp set. I used white embossing powder which was then heat set using my heating tool.

I used the tombow multipurpose liquid glue to adhered my various card layers and then the penguin and my sentiment.

Viola, the card is done. This probably all up took 30 mins and turned out so cute. I did find some red resin dots from the All the Trimmings embellishments in my stash (retired) which really help the Real Red pop.

I did stamp a penguin inside my card insert too and used the party hat stamp from the Turtle Friends stamp set and coloured it with my stamp and write markers, which I LOVE!!!
