Love of leaves - TGIF challenge sketch

Welcome back!

This card was inspired using  #TGIFC285 Sketch Challenge. I really liked the layout of this card.

Spring is now in the air here in Victoria Australia so I decided to use some nice fun colours rather than the traditional autumn/fall colours with the Love of Leaves bundle. Let me know what you think?

What you will need:

This card was actual quite easy to put together.

Firstly I die cut all my pieces. I used Bumblee cardstock to cut out the largest leaf from the Love of Leaves die set. Loving the detail of the embossing.

Next I cut out a stitched circle piece large enough for the leaf and then sponged the edges in Bumble Bee ink.

Lastly I cut out a strip of Costal cabana (14.4cm x 4 cm or 5" x 1 1/2") and used the die from the Peony Dies to create the scalloped edging.

Next was assembling the card front. So I used the standard cardbase in thick whisper white cardstock.

My second layer was the Bumble Bee cardstock cut 14.4cm x 10cm  or 5" x 3 3/4"

The third layer was in whisper white cardstock cut 14.1cm x 9.7cm or 4 3/4" x 3 1/2"

For my sentiment I did make a slight boo boo (should have stamped first before gluing my card layers together ... oops!) so I had to cover it up with a small piece of whisper white piece which I used the banner punch to cut out one end.

I finished it off with a little bow using the gold thread from the Forever Greenery suite.

A bright and cheerful card ready for Spring! Enjoy and don't forget to check out the other cards created using this format here
