What I used:
Stamps/Dies:
Prized Peony stamp and die bundle
Tasteful textiles embossing folder
Cardstock:
Whisper White thick cardstock 14.9cm x 10.5cm or 5 1/4" x 4"
Whisper White card insert layer 14.4cm x 10cm or 5" x 3 3/4
piece of Whisper White big enough to stamp and die cut the large peony
Designer Series paper from peony garden cut into 2 strips 4cm x 10cm or 1 1/4"x 3 3/4"
Ink:
Petal Pink
Smoky slate
Adhesives:
Multipurpose Liquid Glue
Dimensionals
Mini glue dots
Other:
Shimmer Ribbon grey granite (comes part of the Peony Garden suite)
This was a fun and easy card to make. The first step is to cut your front panel of your card base into 2 strips :
- 4.5cm x 10.5cm or 1 1/2" x 4" (smaller strip)
- 5.9cm x 10.5cm or 2 1/4" x 4" (larger strip)
Then adhere with liquid glue 1 strip of DSP to the smaller strip (this will form the bottom of our card). Then adhere the remaining strip of DSP with the top strip of your card panel (should still be attached to the card base).
With the larger strip, I stamped the sentiment with Smoky Slate at the bottom before I embossed this piece with the tasteful touches embossing folder just to give it some textile and create more interest.
I then sponged the edges of this larger strip with Petal Pink and did same to the card insert layer as well. I also stamped the right hand bottom corner with the smaller peony stamp from the set.
Using liquid glue I arranged the strips so it forms the card like so:
Then I stamped the large peony stamp and die cut this out with the matching die. I used dimensionals to attach to the large strip, and finished it off with a bow from the shimmery grey granite ribbon.
This is the finished card.
Thank you for visiting today and if you like this card, I would really appreciated if you voted for me.
