Prized Peony birthday card

 Hello hello.

Firstly I want to say a big thank you to those that voted for me in Kylie's monthly demonstrator blog hop. I made it into the Top 5 favourites!!! WOW! THANK YOU! I am so grateful for every single vote and for all your love and support.  Am looking forward to participating into another hop later this month so make sure to come back to see what I create. THANK YOU again!

Peonies are one of my favorite flowers which is why I love the Stampin' Up!® Peony dies as well as the designer series paper (DSP) which is part of the Peony Garden suite.

What I used:

Stamps/Dies

Peaceful moments stamp set

Peony Dies

Cardstock

Basic Grey standard card base 14.9cm x 10.5cm or 5 1/4" x 4"

Peony Garden Designer Series Paper  14.4cm x 10cm  or 5" x 3 3/4"

Whisper White card stock cut out with a rectangle stitched die (4th largest die in the rectangle framelits)

Scrap of Petal pink big enough to cut out largest and 3rd layer of the peony dies (refer picture)

Scrap of vellum big enough to cut our the 2nd and 4th layer of the peony dies (refer picture)

Ink

Petal Pink

Adhesives

Multipurpose Liquid Glue

mini glue dot

Other

Grey shimmer ribbon (part of the Peony Garden suite)

Elegant Faceted Gems (part of the Peony Garden Suite)

I find it easier to colour my vellum piece with petal pink ink and a sponge dauber before cutting out the pieces with the peony die set.  I cut every 2nd piece with vellum and every other piece in petal pink. I used basic grey to cut the stamen.

Using the multipurpose liquid glue I assembled my peony and put it aside the dry. I then stamped "Happy Birthday" from the Peaceful Moments stamp set in Petal pink onto my whisper white rectangle piece. And adhered my assembled peony, finishing off the peony with a little bow from the shimmer ribbon in gray granite.

I then adhered this piece to my DSP layer which had been glued to my basic gray card base.

Lastly I embellished a couple of the elegant faceted gems. Now, I know generally odd numbers are preferred but given the space I think 2 gems looks just fine. What do you think?

Hope you enjoyed this card and thank you for spending some time with me.

If you live in Australia and would like to purchase any of the products I used please contact me atomal288@gmail.com  I would love to help you. Stay happy and healthy xx
