Today I thought I would share what I got in my starter kit.
Deciding what to put in your starter kit is both exciting but also stressful because I am sure like me, you just want to buy everything! However, knowing that I will be placing my next order soon, it was just a matter of prioritising.
My first item is an essential staple that every crafter needs - a great paper trimmer. What I like about this one is that it has the metrics measurements and most importantly, it cuts straight. Yep, I have had ones in the past that just wouldn't, and for someone who is a perfectionist, it was very annoying!
My first stamp set is that Dandelion Wishes. My daughter and I fell in love with this set. There is something nostalgic about this set that evokes childhood memories of running around in the park, picking dandelions and then blowing them out, making wishes for dolls, ponies, unicorns or to be turned into a real life princess! Even as an adult, I still find myself doing that when I see a dandelion! hahaha
Next is my first bundle - 'Posted for You' set which includes cling stamps and a punch in the shape of a postage stamp. Remember, if you buy in a bundle, you save 10% - hands up those that love a discount.
What I like about the stamp set, is that there are not only images you can use to make cards, but they are also great for decorating envelops. The punch itself is also versatile. It not only cuts out the stamp set images but can also be used to out sentiments. When I feature this in an upcoming blog post, I will share with you a little tip on how you can use the punch to cut out various size sentiments.
My next bundle is the Ornate Style Bundle.
It was definitely the dies in this bundle that won me over.
The delicate frames are absolutely beautiful. So detailed and perfect for making an elegant style card especially for engagements and weddings. Can't wait to show you what I make with this set.
Saving the best to last...... the Prized Peony Bundle. And boy did it live up to my high expectations.
The dies create the most wonderful 3D peony which is absolutely stunning. I have not stopped playing with this set since I got it. And the best thing was that it was FREE! Yep, one of the main reasons why I joined as a demonstrator during the June 2020 promotion was to get this beautiful bundle for FREE. Score!
In addition to the items I selected, you also get a free business kit.
This contained:
- A box of 8 catalogues to share with family and friends
