A bunch of birthday love to you

Today's card is part was a lot of fun to make. I played with a fun colour combination and did a bit of water colouring for the background using the Stampin' Up!® Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set.

This card was inspired by this card sketch from TGIF challenges #TGIFC277

What I used:

Stamps/Dies

Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set

Boho Indigo stamp set

Tasteful Label die set

Cardstock

Whisper White thick standard card base 14.9cm x 10.5cm or 5 1/4" x 4"

Pear pizzazz card stock  14.4cm x 10cm  or 5" x 3 3/4"

Watercolour paper 14.1cm x 9.7cm or 4 3/4"x 3 1/2"

Scrap piece of whisper white thick for the sentiment

Ink

So Saffron

Calypso Coral

Pear Pizzazz

Adhesives

Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Dimensionals

Other

Water painter

Firstly I directly inked onto an acrylic block and used my water painter to brush some So Saffron and then Calyso Coral onto the background leaving a bit of a white border. I did allow this to dry before I stamped the border with some sunflowers in the same colours.

I used some Pear Pizzazz to stamp my leaf images. I then allowed this flatten between a couple of heavy books as there was abit of paper wharping.

Then using the die (pictured) from Tasteful Label dies I cut out my sentiment piece using thick whisper white cardstock. I used the '' A bunch of birthday love to you" from the Boho Indigo stamp set in Pear Pizzazz ink. I did line up where I wanted my sentiment to go on the card and stamped the edges of the sentiment with the same sunflowers so it would blend into the card.

This was then adhered using dimensionals once my base had flattened and dried.

Thanks for stopping by and if you live in Australia and would like to purchase any of the supplies I used, please email me atomal288@gmail.com. I would love to help you out.
